There are so many accomodations in Hong Kong and below are some examples with different standard for differnt markets:

1. YHA
located on HK Island and quite near to go to Central, environment is fresh and quiet, price is cheap. Target is mainly teenagers. Rooms are normal and common but not very trendy. No stores and restaurants nearby

2. Island resort
Located on Lamma Island, fresh and wonderful environment, cafe, stores and resturants are nearby. Close to Central. Flats with sea view or flats are provided with own kitchen and fridge for cooking. Kind of special accommodtaion. Many people go for retreat and relax

3. Imperial Hotel Hong Kong
Located in Tsim Sha Tsui, very very convenient with almost cheapest price among all of the hotels nearby, 3 star hotel, near Victoria Habor, MTR station.

4.Peninsula Hotel
Located in Tsim Sha Tsui and the most trendy, grand hotel in HK, everything is the best, no matter the service, quality, view, so price is the highest.

I am travelling to Hong Kong this september and am looking for hotel accomodation. I have found hotels that offer quite cheap rates for a 2-ppl room, around 200-300Hong Kong Dollars a night. they are located near Mongkok, tsimshashui or kowloon which would be convenient. but im quite concerned about the cleanliness and standard of the hotel rooms. could you recommend some good hotels around this area that offer this rate?

do you have any idea about the quality of these hotels i have found:
1. Man Hing Lung Hotel, Kowloon
address:- Mirador Mansion, 58 Nathan Rd., Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong
rate: around 230HKD per night (2ppl)

2.Tatami Hampton Hotel, Kowloon, Hong Kong
address: No.11 changsha street, mongkok, Hong Kong.
rate: around 230 HKD per night (2ppl)

3. anne black
address: 5 Man Fuk Road,Kowloon, Hong Kong , Hong Kong
rate: around 350HKD per night (2 ppl)

Anyone who has knowledge of these hotels or have stayed in these hotels before, please give advice!! thanks!!

As a HongKonger I have no experience of living in those hotels, but in my opinion if cleanliness is your major concern I would suggest not to pick the Man Hing Lung Hotel, since I have searched for a bit and it seems like a hostel rather than hotels. But the location is good, in Tsim Sha Tsui where tourists prefer to stay.

For the other two hotels here are the websites:

They are located near Mongkok, the location is still good, Mongkok is famous for selling cheap stuffs and if you want to experience the HK culture they are good choices as well.
