I just booked a 4-day Inca trail trek for two weeks from now. It was no problem. I used United Mice. Any thoughts? Any recommendations? How much rain gear is needed at this time of year?

if i remember correctly, from what i have read in this forum, United Mice is not a tour company you want to be booking your trail walk with. I think they mistreat their porters or something. From what i have gathered, the best tour companies are:

Llamapath, peru treks, and sun gate.

There was a specific thread called "United Mice - Beware" the initial post was of a bad experience. However, the follow-ups that were posted were positive. eeeks . . . oh well . . . too late now.

Does anyone have recommendations for places to stay in Cusco? I'm also thinking about staying a night or two in the Sacred Valley. Does anyone have a recommendation there, too?
