TP's been pretty slow for me for about a week. It takes a good 30 seconds to load a thread or view/post a message. I'm on Mac Safari at home and and work.

I'm noticing some slowness as well, though it varies quite a lot. Certainly it's not as fast as it was when we first moved to this new server. Am looking into it, but so far haven't found the cause.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one noticing the slowdown... I was blaming my highspeed but google and other sites loaded normally. I moved on to blaming 81,711 members all trying to log on at once.

to be frank. i dont see any improvements in speed.

i think when i first joinded TP it was faster to post and view threads then it is now!!!

even when you guys said that you made fixes i didnt notice that at all!

Thats the thing though for me, when the changes were made I really noticed the loading was much slicker and faster but the last week or so its been really slow, like Tway about 30seconds Sander for any page on tp to load, specifically in the forums as I don't go into the blog sections much...

You signed up on the 23rd of Nov. The speed fixes we were talking about were made on the 25th of Oct.

The speeds currently are starting to remind me of what it was like before Oct the 25th. Though it certainly isn't the same problem.

hmmm i just remember it was quicker to read threads and now its a slight mission...all in all it shouldnt have an affect on the users usage of TP...just a tad bit of frustration.

lets do it microsoft style and bring a patch out for a patch!

i also got displayed the following message on your site!

I actually got the same error message when trying to post a comment (back to you, Peter) with Malia's antler pic. I hit submit and got the error message. I then hit the back button, hit submit again and it loaded. The problem - it accepted the first comment, as well as the second, and now you have to go to Sam's gallery and delete the double-posting. (Sorry about that!!!) The error message happened about 5-10 minutes ago.

I think that comment has already been removed Isa :) That's definitely not a good error to be appearing though... personally, not seeing any slowness at all here in Norway, I wonder if this is a routing issue more than a site issue?! The forum reply pages are relatively light on the server/database so something else is causing the slowdowns (scripts, traffic, etc.).

If anyone notices really long delays, can you include times so we can double check against scheduled tasks?

Hmm, I've never seen that message, but it doesn't sound good. I've been tinkering a little (kind of like looking at a car engine mumbling "mmhmm, yeah, mmmhm.. no, I've got no idea."). Maybe something I did caused a brief hiccup. I hope you both saw it at the same time..
