Kevin - this should help:

A quart-sized ziplock plastic bag dimensions:
17.8cm x 20.3cm (7in x 8in)
vol: 0.94L (32oz)

The first Continental page has a picture of what will fit in a ziplock bag and the dimensions also.

I apologize -- you are right; I now do remember having seen that picture. We're going to travel "clean", i.e., no gels or fluids at all.

I hate getting on planes these days, but I am looking forward to the destination.

Something else you can't take in your carry-on luggage these days: cable ties (Kabelbinder).

Other than that, we had no trouble this last trip. I was worried, though, that our fig newton cookies might be construed as containing a "gel". But we didn't ask.
