Hello,

I am wondering if anyone can help me plan a trip to Vancouver and Banff with kids. I will be travelling in July and will be in Canada for about 9 days.

Thanks

Both Vancouver and Banff emphasize a variety of outdoor activities that can be fun for your kids as well as for yourselves. Some of the activities you can do are white water rafting, hiking, horseback riding, and other activities of the like. In Vancouver, you can find places such as the playdium where kids can enjoy themselves in a number of fun indoor activities. Kids might also enjoy the Science Museum/Centre of any city (I know I always did because it almost always involved interactive displays of a scientific and fun nature), and you can find one in Vancouver. Just click on the link to get all the information you need for kids' attractions in Vancouver.

Banff focuses more on outdoor activities like the one I mentionned so if your kids love the outdoors, it should be a lot of fun for them. I would recommend the horseback riding from personal experience. It's exciting for a kid and it ends up being a lot of fun for adults as well. The following link will give you all the info on attractions and activities in Banff.

I hope that helps out! Good luck planning your trip, don't hesitate to ask if you need more help, and have fun!

if its not too late to plan - head to calgary between july 9 and july 18 to catch the stampede (rodeo and city-wide party). plenty of entertainment for the kids, go to calgarystampede.com. calgary is a 10 hour drive from vancouver, and 1hr 15 mins from banff.
