Sorry, I couldn't think of an apropriate title.

Firstly I must apologise if this is on the wrong board, but I’ll try my luck here anyway.

Basically I've decided that around Feb/March '05 I am going to do my travelling bit for a year. Please bear with me, as I am still very much in the beginning stages of exactly where I want to go and what I want to do. So many exciting places to visit and trying to narrow it down is proving a very difficult task, which I am sure a lot of you are aware of, heh.

Ultimately I want to spend most of my time in Oz (this is where I have applied for my working visa), but the question I want to pose is, if I am away for a year, when ideally would it be best to do my Australia portion of the trip? After I've visited all the places I want to? No doubt I'll be very short on money at this time so getting a job will be essential for me to be able to continue my travels around Oz. Or would it be better to travel, do Oz and them travel for the latter?

I know this is a very open question but any guidance no matter how small would be very much appreciated from this very overwhelmed traveller to be.

I hope this all makes sense.

i guess the main thing you need to think of first is what kind of weather, activities and work do you want to do and go from there.

I live in manly beach and around here i would say christmas time is great as there is heaps of summer work, great atmosphere, beach, sun, and easy to get to other places.

have a think ad if you have any more specific questions please let me know.

have fun planning!!!

sorry, got a question for Loz

if you just want to get a bit of extra cash in Oz, is it essential to get a working visa, or is it vital to have a working visa?

any info you could give me on this would be great. thanks
