Being Gothic myself, every day is halloween. From the Goth perspective, Halloween is just a day where everyone wants to be like us. Rather than just seeking an excuse in a scheduled day, just don't let your environment stop you from dwelling in the dark, and join our club permanently! ;)

A Goths have picked every day to be like us! (Wiccan)

The Pagan/Wiccan year begins on Oct.31st, so it's basically New Years Day for us. And, I absolutely love Halloween - though have no plans for celebration outside of lighting a candle to guide the spirits home... :( But, I hope everyone who does have plans has a great time!! May the spirits be with you and blessed be! ;)

I came in this morning to a spider web draped over my phone, a plastic spider climbing the wall, and a "caution" sign on my screen. Somebody's gotten into the Halloween spirit but no one is saying who. I have a meeting at 4 this afternoon, after which I am to rush home to distribute whatever chocolate bars I don't eat to the kiddies.

well today i and a few friends are dressed as possessed moths and butterflies, decorated our offices and homes, and are generally using the day as an excuse to be children, of course a few people think i'm crazy walking around the village mainstreet with wings and a mask but hey its all for a laugh and kept my niece entertained.....

also my dept in work won a prize for our decorations so i'm sitting here with sweets and champagne ;)

Happy Halloween to you all.............

Here's an interesting bit of info I found on Spaceweather....

SPOOKY ASTRONOMY: Halloween is a date of astronomical interest: it's a cross-quarter date, midway between an equinox and a solstice. There are four cross-quarter dates throughout the year, and each is a minor holiday. One is Groundhog Day (Feb. 2nd), another is May Day (May 1st), the third is Lammas Day (Aug. 1st), and the fourth ... ? Happy Halloween!
