The grossest way to keep your valuables safe?

Want to leave some valuables in your room, but afraid someone may walk away with them? One company has come up with a solution that is disgusting, but just might work. The brief safe is a realistic looking pair of men's tighty-whiteys with a gross skid mark on them. The thinking being, of course, who'd want to touch them.

Of course, you could save yourself a few bucks, sew a pocket or to into your own underware and create your own skid mark.

I'd end this with a queasy smilie, but we don't seem to have one available...

I routinely carry a dirty pair of socks/underwear in a clear plastic bag in my rucksack, which have some large denom bills hidden inside them. If anybody is going through my stuff, they'll have to be very serious about going through dirty washing to find it. Obviously it doesn't work for hard items, or anything which would distort the size/shape/weight of them, but it's a good backup. I hide cards a differnt way, and never leave passport/camera/Mp3 player anywhere anyway.

Note to self: Must remember to wear gloves if Gelli gives me money.

Very nice, Hien. As Borat would say, "very nice, high five!"

I've often stuffed valuables in my dirty clothes, but must admit never thought of the extra security measure with regards to the skid mark...

Phew! I thought you were going to suggest an altogether different way to store valuables, Greg....
