I have the chance of going to Edinburgh. A few questions.

Is it worth 2 full days or should I stick with just 1?

Is it still very cold towards the end of Feb?

What is a great place to stay for around £60 a night for 2 sharing a double?

What is a great place to eat or drink, traditional scottish food would be great?

What is the cheapest way to get to and from Edinburgh airport to the city?

Any other info or things not to be missed welcome.

Thanks

You will probably benefit from a 2 day stay in Edinburgh not having to rush from one place to the next.
For information on places to stay try these web sites, the first is the Youth Hostel, it is open to all ages and is only a few minutes walk from the main station and al the city centre attractions including the castle.

It is still very cold here in February so dress warm! The cheapest way to and from the airport is probably the airport buses. think it takes about 20 minute drive and picks you up/drops you off outside the waverley train station in the centre of town. when looking for accommodation try and look for flat stays on the royal mile. my boyfriends parents did this for £60 a night and you get your own flat to stay in rather than a hotel. there are literally hundreds of pubs to eat/drink at. for traditional scottish food try Howies - a restaurant on victoria street and there's one in bruntsfield but victoria street is central - just off the grassmarket.

there's loads to do so two days is always better than one!
