I fly into Brisbane on 21st November and have one month to play with before im due to arrive in Sydney.
Im just not sure what to do with the time in between, Im not sure i want to do the east coast oz expierence cause im in my 30s and dont want to be the oldest one, if you know what i mean. can anyone suggest anything else? Im feeling a bit lost about this.
Mmmm..... a hard one to answer as you don't give any information on the types of things you like doing/seeing.
One suggestion would be do NOT go any further north than Brisbane as the weather is not the best at that time of the year - monsoonal. Therefore that leaves travelling south.
Are you going to hire a car if you are not going on an organised tour? If you are thinking of hiring - then you need to do something about it asap as it is coming up for the summer holidays and things will be very busy.
You could travel down the coast by train - but that restricts you in seeing a lot of out of the way places although you could break your journey in a few places to see local areas.
Here is a site I found on someones notes of the train trip. http://www.tomw.net.au/travel/xpt/index.html
And here is one on bus travel:
There is an awful lot to see down south - and of course you could continue further south and west than Sydney seeing as you have a month.
It all really depends on what you would like to see and do.
Good luck. Let me know if i can assist in any other way.
I did'nt think much of brisbane and theres not a lot round there to do so i got on the greyhound bus down to surfers paradise which is a couple of hours south....great beach and night life or carry on to byron bay which is more chilled...hippy feel to the place....i'm 34 and i thought both places were pretty cool....in fact i'm still in byron now staying at the arts factory.
have fun mate
