I will be arriving to Santa Cruz on December 6 and will spend a couple of days there (looking for a budget hotel in SC)
From SC I will go by train to Villa Montes and will spend 3 days there, from VM I will travel to Tarija, via Argentina I think, I am planning to spend most of my time in Tarija. My question is which is the best route to take from Tarija to Iguazu falls? Any recommendations on small hotels near the falls?. I am also planning to visit Cochabamba and would appreciate a recommendation on a hotel there as well.
There is a really nice hostel in Cochabamba; I tried to retrieve its name on the web, and I believe it's called Hostel Florida. Pretty cheap, and a nice patio.
Travelling from Tarija (or anywhere in Bolivia) to Iguazu takes you via Salta, Resistencia and Posadas; there's also a route through Paraguay (Mariscal Estegarribia - Asuncion - Ciudad del Este), but that usually takes forever because of road conditions.
Thank you bentivogli, I am really looking forwards to visit Iguazu again, I was there 25 years ago and I loved it. That time I flew from Buenos Aires directly and only spent a day and half. As I mentioned, this time I will be traveling from Tarija by bus but will spend at least 3 days.
Have you or anyone heard of apartments Anahì in Puerto Iguazu? I am looking for accommodation for 4 people for two nights
