Heya,
I'm hopefully going fruit picking in January as my one year visa is up in May.. and really want to stay in this wonderful country. But am slightly apprehensive as I'm going on my own
If anyone is thinking of heading out and doing the same and wants to meet up that'll be cool. :)
Also where are the best places to go?

There is a place called Bowen near the Whitsundays in Queensland. A backpackers place called Bogie River Bush House - they get many fruit pickers and offer transport to the various farms I believe. Not sure on when their picking season is but they do have a web site at http://www.bogiebushhouse.com.au/

Could be worth a shot
