i am currently studying in Paris, France and i am hosting visitors in March 2007. My boyfriend and 2 others will be joining me in Europe for 2 weeks. Does anyone have any traveling suggestions as far as what countries are the best to visit for first timers in europe. the itinerary is open, so any suggestions would be really appreciated!!!
why don't you get a train ticket that covers 2/3 countries in europe? or there are some companies hop on hop off... i don't know.. runned by jung people that put you in a guided bus all inclusive tour ...
by the way I cannot avoid suggesting you italy...and spain... i am based in italy and any suggestion about hostel or cheap accommodation, museums, events... i can help you.
do you know of any specific sites i can visit?
I would say if the money is not a problem, go for the places that are safe - meaning, that you know they are going to be nice and proved themselves over the time. I would go to London, Barcelona, Lisbon, Seville, maybe Venice if you have time. And you can manage to take trains to some and then cheap aircompanies to next destination...
If you feel like just enjoying time with your friends - I would definetly suggest Spain - best food and wine and they are nation who are living fully:::
What's your budget? And are you looking for city, or country, or a mix?
well, money isnt too much of a problem...not too crazy of course...but there isnt any specific budget in mind...im mostly concerned with travel arrangements, and the cheapest way to plan out my travels...id like to see a variety of things...i always like a good mix in my travels...thanks for all of your help! what is your opinion of switzerland...im thinking i definitaly want to show them paris (since i live here), and spain, i would love to see italy and have been thinking of switzerland..but due to the time crunch i just want to show the first timers the best possible of europe in their time here...
