Another Thai Visa Question

Travel Forums Asia Another Thai Visa Question

Sorry guys,

I have looked on the website and spoken to a couple of people at the embassy.

I am trying to find out how to get a visa for This April (I am there for 62 days and the visa is £25).

Apparently you have to apply within 3 months of travelling, Though i will be in Oz then, and i wanted to apply for it now so i could have it sorted rather than finding a thai embassy in Oz and trying to sort it then.

Is this possible?

Any help would be great!

many thanks

Greg

Hi Greg,

Sorry for hijacking your thread but I'm heading to Thailand in Jan for 6weeks. Just wondering what website you were on as I'd like to organise my visa before I go...

Thanks a mill

Back up option.

Since you are from GB, you will automatically get a free 30 day entry permit in your passport at the airport when you arrive.

If you have any plans of visiting any second country, like Singapore or Malaysia, while you are in Thailand, simply leave before the first 30 days are up and when you return to Thailand you will get a second 30 days free.

New Thai immigration guidelines limit this type of "free" visa to no more than a total of 90 days within a 6 month period of time.

Hiya,

Yeah i thought of doing that, though i dont know where in thailand we will be after 30days, - we were not intending to leave and then return, - that will be the last option.

So if anyone knows how to obtain a visa in advance please let me know

Many thanks

Greg
