po has indicated that this thread is about Colombia

a couple of us are doing an extended stay here in Bogota, Colombia and have found it to be an absolutely charming town in a beautiful country in general.
However, i guess since the tourism industry is not quite as developed as some other countries, it is sometimes hard to find things aside from the obvious.

Ideas or suggestions for what?

For bars, restaurants and nightclubs, there are the following areas:

Zona Rosa, the oldest and best-known. Including Calle 85 between 11 and 15.

Parque 93 and surrounding area.

Usaquen, including the street of pubs including the Eight Bells and London Calling.

Zona G, the gourmet restaurant zone uphill from Septima around calle 70 or so.

La Candelaria, which has new places opening all the time.

La Macarena, carrera 4 around calle 28, some of the coolest restaurants in town.

Once you're comfortable, you can try Primer de Mayo. Get a local to show you.
