What are your plans anyway when you are out? I am only travelling for about 5 weeks but still pretty scared being on my own. Im also from scotland, glasgow to be more precise - what about you? Email me it will be good to meet up with someone. My friend also said i can have her car but i am not 21 yet so dont know how she thinks that one will work. Anyway will be good to hear from you.
Hi friends, I will be in ularu on the 2nd july and heading to darwin via all of the good spots!! I am from Australia but never been through the centre. If you want a lift through the outback let us know as will be travelling by myself. Anniez17, you can drive in oz before you're 21 if you have a license from home. I recommend trying not to drive on dawn or dusk as native wildlife have a tendacy to like that time of night to cross roads too and they can do big damage to your vehicle! plus you want to be able to see the country anyway!Your other post advises you may go to the east coast,oz experience bus tour is meant to be heaps of fun. Please don't miss byron bay it is amazing and if you can, head up to Airlie beach (Whitsundays-beautifal) and cairns.but if you choose to do the outback ,let me know. I am also bit scared travelling by myself but that is half the fun!
take care in you travels
