I will soon be on the Thai Islands and wondering the best way of getting from Koh Samui to Cambodia without having to backtrack. I can't seem to find any airlines as they all fly from Bangkok!
Does anybody have advice on the easiest and fastest (ha, wishful thinking!) way from Samui (or southern Thailand) to Cambodia?!

You'd be best off going to Surat Thani and getting a flight from there. I think Air Asia do them to Phnom Penh. You could also get a boat to Chumpon from Samui and a boat to Cambodia from there.
I checked Air Asia and the Surat Thani flight goes to BKK. I do not know of a boat that will go from Chumpon to Cambodia. Never heard of it. Would be greeat if there was one. Perhaps someone who has taken it will chime in.
There is a boat from Samui to Pattaya called the 'Sirithara Ocean Queen'. I saw a picture on Thai Visa of it half underwater. Do not know if it is still running. If it is running, it is not too difficult to reach Koh Kong, then Phnom Penh from Pattaya. But realistically, get yourself to BKK and fly Air Asia to PP. That will be your best bet. Good Luck.
Maybe I just need to brush up on my swimming and give that a go!
I've searched and searched but cannot find a boat that goes from Chumphon to Cambodia!!
I've checked Air Asia and Thai Air and although they both fly from Surat Thani, there are no direct flights to Phnom Penh.
I think your best option will be to fly from Surat Thani to Bangkok and get a connecting flight to Cambodia. I think the flights are daily.
Good luck. If you do find another way to get there would you let us know.
I know! It's a nightmare and I'm just about going crazy!!!
Thanks anyway for your help
