Callig on your experiences again.. has any backpacker visited perth and did you enjoy it? can you recommended any good hostels?
wheres the best place to stay?
Also is it nicer than sydney? Don't get me wrong.. I love sydney just want to head to a new city..
I stayed here when I was in Perth: http://www.emperorscrown.com.au/
It had just opened when i was there - it was clean and had good facilities. It's a short walk from the centre of the city.
I liked Perth but not nearly as much as sydney. Perth is smaller and more laid back. Kings Park is lovely, also Freemantle and Rottnest island nearby are worth visiting.
depends what youre into!
i havent stayed at billabong backpackers but i know some ppl that did and they said it was good, its on beaufort st in mt lawley (i think) and its close to northbridge which is where all the bars n clubs are, and its big...
perth is more laid back but alot of ppl who come here love it, its not as busy and full on a the east coast, WAY less touristy, you wont ind high rises clotting the beaches here... going up the coast is cool,. theres alot of gorgeous places all the way up, and down.;..
its def worth the trip!!
Would you recommend 3 days in Perth? I was thinking about devoting a day to Perth CBD and King Park, one day for Fremantle, and one day for Rottnest Island. Sound ok? Should I skip the time in the CBD?
rborzillo 3 days to do what you're planning should be fine. I did those 3 things in 3 days and had no problems
hey guys, I've just got from my backpacking trip in oz. I stayed in Perth for nearly 5 months, I loved it its laid back, people are friendly. the beaches are just beautiful!!! Check out the Coolibah backpackers in northbridge.

how much is a traveller's lodge in Perth? Do such accomodations exist down under?
like the hostels in Thailand and Malaysia?
