Im always a sucker for a good adventure book and am always looking to expand my horizons.

My alltime favorite is Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer, a true classic for any traveller. I admire Chirs McCandless for his devotion to a pursuit of a life of "freedom" that I think few in this world ever truly experience. I admit he was quite foolish in many ways as well, but he set out to live a dream and died in the process of fullfilling that very dream. He gave up everything he owned, all his money, possesions, even his own family, to live out on his own in the Alaskan bush and gave it his all, never looking back. Its a book filled with adventure that I could not put down until I had read it cover to cover. It was a huge inspiration to my trip to Alaska last summer, where I visited several towns Chris had stopped off in. I have read the book several times now and Im sure I will read it again and again.

So what's your favorite and why?

"The Lost Continent" by Bill Bryson - it was the first of his books that I ever read. It's brilliantly written and very, very funny.
