Hi all,
Just wondering whether anyone could tell me how long it takes (on average) to get from Edinburgh to London on a tour bus? I'm going on a Top Duck tour to Scotland next year, and need to know what time there abouts i'll be back in London so I can book my flight to Athens that evening. :)
I seem to remember it says we will be leaving after breakfast, if that helps. :)

Thanks!

Kim

you can get tour buses from scotland to london? i did not know that.

erm at a guess i'd say between 8 and 15 hours...

Well, the tour is based in London, that's where we leave from. And the tour bus returns to London after the 4 days. It's just one of those Edinburgh mini breaks they have at Top Deck. :)
But my friend and I are also doing the Greek Island hopper, which starts in Athens the next day, so we need to know what time we can book our flights out of London. :)

Thanks!

Kim

Hi there Kimberley

I might have to ask, why not just take a local train, it may be cheaper if you book early enough and would only take 5-6 hours and much more comfortable than a bus. The bus would take ages. especially if you hit traffic around the motorways - since your time is cutting close to a flight! The bus would have to leave so early from Edi to arrive in London in time for you to THEN get a train or another bus to any of the airports in the London area. Then you would surely hit traffic.

Best option would be to fly from Edinburgh to London (Luton) then London (Luton) to Athens...does that make sense maybe?

Yep, fly. Only cost you about 30 quid.

Righto then, so it looks like flying is the best bet :)
Thanks guys! :)
Can anyone recommend the best airline? and the cheapest to get from Edinburgh to Athens?

Thanks!

The easyjet route might be best but u gotta get from Edi to London Luton then Luton to Athens. Scotland is a disgrace for connections to the continent.

woah, I just compared the 2 easyjet tickets you would need to buy and one ticket on British Airways and the BA is about the same price! without having to get out and check back in too! I dont know what dates ur going but search around on www.ba.com - u may find a deal.
