I made a huge mistake this evening one that I hope doesnt prove too costly! I wasbooking my youth hostel for Barcelona, at barcelona mar, I inputted my details and pressed confirm without specifying the room or number of people it has charged me for two people for a single room for two people for five nights instead of 1 person in a 8 mixed dorm for 5 nights. I have emailed the hostel...In English though as I can't speak Spanish. The phone number on the website seems to be wrong. What should I do? I need some advice. This website said I would only be charged £40 immediatley and the rest at a later date.

Hi Ryan,

Can you use the Contact link at the bottom of this page and select 'I have already booked accommodation through Travellerspoint' as the topic to notify the person in charge of accommodation bookings. Please include the booking number and I'm sure we can sort this out. No big deal at all; it's happened before! :)

ps. the remaining amount is normally charged upon checkin/checkout by the hostel.

Thats a relief! The hostel has asked me for the confirmation number aswell. In a panic after seeing the amount id paid i tried to go back hoping it wouldnt confirm the order so I'm not sure of the order number.

Hi Ryan,

You should have received this in an email as well though. Otherwise, when using the contact form, fill in the name and email address you put down when booking and the person in charge will try and sort it out for you!

I havent received a confirmation email to my travellerspoint email at work, I will have to check my personal email when I get home form work

Ryan it seems they will be able to sort it out for you? no doubt it helps that the hotel was through Travellerspoint i didnt realise that x

I have checked my account and nothing has gone out regarding the hostel so I must have pressed the back button in enough time, thanks for the help
