Nature or culture?

When I travel, I pretty much couldn't care less about nature; I'm all for the culture and the people and making friends. Give me a dirty lane in East London anytime!

Having said that, I've been to Iguazu Falls in Argentina and they were amazing.

I think it's a bit of both. It depends what kind of trip you're taking obviously. If the main attraction is in the city, then that would be my focus. But the journey to or between those cities can be very beautiful and enjoyable, during which the focus of the trip becomes nature. It's always nice to see the natural beauty of a country, no matter how advanced it has gotten. So I'd say I like a bit of both on a trip.

Reasons why I am motivated to travel - adventure, culture and nature! I have to combine all three - I love nature such as seeing different waterfalls, lakes, forests, mountains and oceans around the world. At the same time experiencing different cultures such as a festival that is different to one that may be held in my own country, peoples different ways of living and their beliefs, learning the history of, and meeting the people of a different country. Also I love getting off the beaten track, to see the places outside the tourist areas.

For me it is a bit of both, I like learning the different ways of life making new friends, food from different country (I love my food). I also think beautiful scenery brings certain calmness which you don't get living in the city.

A little bit from column A....a little bit from column B...

Like most of you guys, not one aspect of travelling appeals to me. If I'm going to a place like, let's say anywhere in Ireland, I'll focus more on the natural than if I'm going to a place like Paris, where I would focus more on the architecture. History always plays a big role in my vacation if there is a strong historical element to the place that I'm visiting and I try to incorporate that into my trip (like taking a WW2 walking tour of Berlin).

Cheers,
Katie ;)

Definetely both! And also expectations of a little adventure, meeting local people and other travellers, making new friends - Getting to know other people, their life, culture, way of thinking, etc.

A lil bit of both...
But culture will be the upper one.
