Well I'm new to this site so I'm just finding my way around. I'm doing research for a big UK trip and so I'm loving this site and all the other travel sites with good info. I found a site called trivago.co.uk and I was wondering if anyone knew about it? I signed up and apparently it's a community where you can rate hotels you've stayed at and help out people trying to plan trips. Can you let me know if you've ever used it? I'm learning the ropes at the moment Also, does this site have any place where we can write our own reviews and travel guides as well?
There's a few sites out there with ratings. We took down a commenting system we had on the site as it wasn't working like we intended it... so, currently I'm afraid we do not (yet) have that option (most of the hotel partners we work with already include the ratings of the properties anyway though, so you can still see them when you click through).
Naturally, it's on our 'to do' list and you can be sure that when it arrives, it will be bigger and better, just like anything we do (oh, did I just say that out loud.... )

I thought i would share this with the community. See www.chickenandegg.ie For every review you submit, a donation goes to UNICEF. All this gesture of goodwill takes is two minutes of your time.
So if you have graced the shores of Antartica or had a pint in Mulligans write a review of your experience and €0.10 goes to UNICEF. It even keeps a running tally of how much your prose have contributed.
