Hi, Prendy98,

your plan sounds great!!

Acutally I'm also planning a RTW with my family(Wife and Son)

and I'm interested your plan that you mentioned 'working as I travel'

I saw some people works in Youth hostel when I travelled 5 years ago,

but I hv no idea what kind of work travellers can do excepting

working at the youth hostel.

If you hv any information about that, please share with me.

BeHappy from Korea.

Hi Prendy,

Smile from China! "加油!我支持你!"

I do make a plan as yours ,but in years later. Now it's too poor for me to do this. I wish I could "work while travelling" as you, but this seems impossible for me now,as it's very difficult for a Chinese to get a job in other countries, even a long-term visa permit. So I need to find more info. to help me up with this dream.

Anyway, I am really glad you're making this trip !
When you make a plan to China, pls drop by.I can buy you a bear or something!

Cheers! ^^

Hey Guys,

I will have left enough money aside to get me through 2-3months in parts of asia so by the time I get to australia i will still have cash to get by traveling an enjoyin parts of the gold coast so that by the time I get to the major cities I can apply for part-time jobs.:)

Im getting a 12month working visa, that allows me to work for 3months per state of australia. So rough plan is each month to travel for 2-3weeks n then work for a week. Id work in a bar/hostel or fruit picking for the sake of a week just to pay for the accomadation/drinks/food. I have an Computer/IT background so ive been told my mates that i can get jobs in the major cities for 3months without too much trouble.

Most people that have done the same trip keep advising me to save as much as possible before heading off so that u dont have to worry about cash and just enjoy the traveling - which is the main thing

Hi Prendy,

I am also doing a RTW at a similar time to you but am going the other way as jetlag for me is a lot easier to deal with going west as opposed to east. But can hook up half way round!

Cheers!

Chris
