Throw some sand at her . . . it'll really get her attention.

Oh. Definitely a hand-written letter. It is more personal. Blue ink would be good. I guess fountain pens are nicer, because there is a nice effect on paper, as compared to ball point pens.

[But then it all depends on you and the receiver - what your resp. tastes are... I think that your individual tastes makes it more personal than following a classic mode]

Forgot to mention...

If you do use the notecards and a fountain pen, let the ink dry before closing the card. The parchment will not absorb the ink as quickly as a regular weave paper so it will need a minute or so to dry thoroughly. You should also be able to get blotter paper from a stationery store or wherever you get the pen and ink. That will hasten the drying but be careful not to smudge it if you go that route. ;)

could put together a scrapbook of things - writing, pictures, quotes, and so on - but she might find that a little too

YES !! With coloured letters cut out from various newspapers !! And photographs of her with the eyes cutout !

Seriously, keep it simple. Don't put too much pressure on the poor girl you're stocking.

Has B been collecting them again, like baseball cards??? Or, maybe he just wants to help her with her pantyhose...

Thanks for all of the suggestions, everyone has some good ideas. I actually already made her a pie. She liked that a lot. I could do the talking, but I don't think it would come out well at all.

I was wondering what you do with the blotter paper? Just press it onto what you just wrote to take up the access ink?

Neal made me a scrapbook, but he didn't cut out my eyes in the pictures. Then again, I'd known him long enough to have laughed at it if he had. Yeah, I'm with you, Q. Keep it simple or she may feel overwhelmed. I still say talk to her if you can - even if you stumble. There's something about knowing a guy has worked up the confidence to talk to you that's iriplacable. But love letters are beautiful too - and you get to keep them!

That's exactly what you do. With the parchment - still let it dry for a few seconds before blotting the ink or the blotter paper will remove most of the fresh ink (making it all look too pale). Parchment has a smoother finish and is less porous but looks good. If you have more than one card left - practice on one so you can see what I mean. I can send you more if you want to continue writing to her.

Also, write out what you want to say on scratch paper so you don't end up making mistakes. Wite-Out is not a good look when you're trying to make an important impression.

You made her a pie. That was my next suggestion! I often used to make girls pies when I was single. In fact, I'd walk around with a few spare ones in my back pocket and hand 'em out to every pretty girl that passed my way.

So what sort of pie was it?

Inside the enveloppe you can put a dry rose. Very nice effect.
