Isa - many thanks for the Christmas decorations. They arrived in the mail today and are sitting up on our Christmas tree.

Very nice.

Thanks again!

You are welcome, James!! Thank you again for the calendars of OZ!!! I wasn't sure if you would hve a tree or not, but took a chance.

Oh, and the initials toward the bottoms are mine. I've been told **coughtbyHiencough** I should have used a finer brush... ;)

Note that she only mentioned the initials was hers. Still amazing though.

Yes, hand-painted and all - and not just my initials. I paint new and vintage globe ornaments for friends and family. Beerman's sister requests them for her in-laws every year so I've been doing them for about 10 years now. I do their ornaments with an animal theme, this year's being elephants. They have gotten ducks, sheep, penguins and a few others. I've been told I paint "outsider" art - whatever that means... I just paint what I like and leave it at that.

If you like the ornaments, you'd probably like our house too. I painted a palapa on our bedroom ceiling, a sandbar with shells and sea creatures on our bedroom floor, an island behind our bed, a seascape on the outside of our bedroom door, a stucco wall with greenery in the guestroom, storm clouds in our diningroom, vining things in our kitchen, and an island scene on our kitchen island that Beerman built. Hopefully this coming year, I will finish the reef I started on our bedroom walls. We decided that if we couldn't live on an island just yet, we might as well live in one... Should prove interesting when we finally decide to sell...

I love paint! I get more on me than I do the things I paint but that's the fun part...

I had photos uploaded at one time but deleted them. I'll put them back up in my gallery this afternoon or tomorrow morning. I think I have one of the tile mosiac I did on the side of my computer desk. Also did a tile mosiac on the backsplash of one kitchen counter. Working with tile like that is just as much fun as painting and it is textural since I add rocks, and other items besides the tile shards.

We've been told the inside of our house is a mix of a museum and carnival sideshow... You either like it or hate it. Most like it but it's too "over-the-top" for them to live in. We vaulted the upstairs ceiling and the walls all stop at 8 feet. One woman experienced vertigo up here because it threw off her perception and almost tumbled down the stairs...

Is that Cuppy's official story?

You should upload that picture of the mural in your bedroom (was it the bedroom...?). That was amazing!

No - she's still going with the "memory loss" thing. But, she may change the story if she reads this... "No, really, it wasn't the Bailey's and milk - it was vertigo from the ceilings! Honest!"
