Seems to be some small issues with apostrophes. For example in my profile the apos. was replaced with the webcode &amp39 or whatever it is I can't remember.

Do you escape apostrophies in your coldfusion? Just wondering. For the example goto my profile and my name is "Brendan O'Brien".

  • frowns* That's not good. Although the development code works fine locally, there's something on the live site doubly-escaping HTML before putting it into input fields, and if you save that, it stores the encoded value in DB. Thanks for the pointer!

Looks like Adobe fixed a bug in their forms with the newer server. That in itself wouldn't have caused this but the fact that we had a hack in place in our code to fix the bug on TP then broke the fix (if that makes sense? :) ).

Anyway, to fix you'll have to edit your profile and replace the escaped characters with the '

Shouldn't have affected many, just those that have updated their profile since the server move and who happened to have a character like this in it :)

Me too!

I thought Brendan finally came to his senses that aprostophe is not supposed to be used to pluralise things and wanted to educate others about it.
