MissMonda has indicated that this thread is about Argentina

Is anyone travelling by car around Argentina? Heard of anyone travelling around Argentina in a vehicle of some description?
Interested in passenger?

Anybody heard any yarns in this regard? I would be really keen to hear about the viability of this kind of travel.

Number of threads that may interest you already exist. Just a few general remarks:

- driving around in Argentina requires good skills, and a 4x4
- insurance is a tricky subject
- the public transport network is incredibly fine-grained; given time, you can get just about everywhere
- whatever you do, don't go hitchhiking. Unfortunately, it is NOT a safe means of transport in SA

Yeah, catch a bus instead, they are awesome, super comfy, they provide food and they aren't overwhelmingly expencive (also, there is always the environmental aspect to it, public transport is better than private cars, etc. etc.)
