does anyone know the best way to do this trip? i have a limited amount of time/money. also, any information about pernambuco would be great. thanks!

Since BA-Recife or Olinda is a huge distance, a flight will be reasonable. I looked up fares and found one with TAM usd900, but there should be cheaper ones. It all depends a lot on the dates. Try to contact or
If you are not in a hurry agents can find you good deals, but better talk directly to them.
If you go to Pernambuco try to stop at least for a couple of days in Porto de Galinhas. And I'm sure you'll love Recife.

Look for this air companies:,, +/- 1 Hour travel

You can make a bus travel at night. +/- 12 Hour travel

I think you misunderstood something ZooWalker, may be the starting point. The flight takes in average 7 hours, I think all airlines have stopovers. And by bus in 12 hours you don't even get to Foz from Buenos Aires.
Again Cubby, I guess you'll have to fly there. I agree with the airlines ZooWalker recommended, but the rates at the sites are a bit overpriced right now. Try a good agency.
