New Zealand on £1000GBP a month?

Before i got to Australia on a WHV i plan to vist New Zealand for 2-3months as a tourist so i won't be working, would i be able to get buy there on £1000GBP/$2800NZ and month and still be able to see and do stuff?

Yes, easily. (Assuming you stay in hostels and don't eat out in restaurants every day and such.)
I used to spend NZD $50 per day on average during my time in New Zealand or $70 when I was actively spending money on activities. You have quite a bit more than that, still.

Excellent! I'll be staying in hostels and have no problems living on the cheap. So i can put aside £3000 for 3 months in NZ and what ever's left at the end is just a bonus! Cheers!

so new zealands cheap then? good news! thats about the budget i was planning too.

Yup - I've just come back from NZ and budgeted about £1000 per month, that included car hire for both islands and a lot of eating out so you'll be able to do it cheaper than that if you want to.

Yes, you can do it. I budgeted 1000GBP a month and did ok. I stayed in hostels and cooked my own food rather than eating out, but spent a fair bit on sky dives, helicopter flights etc............I still pretty much stuck to my budget.

1000GBP is seems like a luxury. I was in NZ and was getting by on close to 1,000USD a month!! you will be more than fine.
