Caspian has indicated that this thread is about Mongolia

I just got through a new book called "Dateline Mongolia". Its a good review of the country and recomended to anyone travelling there. I spent time travelling in Mongolia last summer and it brought back a lot of nice memories. Basically its about a guy who lived in Ulaanbaatar and worked at a newspaper there. The author travels all over the country and really gets to know the people, provides some really good insight on the country. The author is also the same guy who wrote the Lonely Planet guide to Mongolia.

I also recomend "Scoop Wallah" by a woman did something similar in India. She worked at a newspaper in Delhi and managed to escape the city to discover different regions of India.

Thanks Caspian,

Mongolia has me fascinated and though it will probably be some time down the road, I'm hoping it will be my next travel destination.

I'm off to find this book on the Internet. . .

Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks Caspian and Happy New Year!!!

Those books sound really good.
Trips to countries are always more interesting, if one has read books, which are set, in them.
