Yeah give it time, it's weird for everyone at first, it's a huge step and a long way away, but trust me you'll love it once you start getting in the swing of it. I did the Oz experience up the east coast (yes I know many would have some words to say about it), but I honestly found it fab, it's a smallish bus, and you meet so many people and do some crazy fun things which break the ice as well (adrenalin always does), and tours are a great way to start meeting people. It is best to start in more popular busy hostels at first so you can get to know more people, Wake up In sydney centre off of George St I think is meant to be great, you can always trust a YHA, and my best recommendation is Noahs Backpackers in Bondi Beach, you meet people in the hostel, in the bar below (trust me I walked in alone and scared and people adopted me!), and even on the beach! You will be fine, honestly.

hey everyone

just to let you know that i'm feeling loads better and actually am really glad that i am travelling alone! Some times are still difficult, and i relly think that it does depend on the hostel you are staying in. I;m in surfers paradise now, and had a great time in sydney and byron bay.

thanks for all your comments
