Not much of a beer drinker but I have fond memories of drinking Tiger beer in Singapore, sitting by the banks of the river, with some of my family, eating outdoors, in January

With very few exceptions*, the best beer in the world is either (a) the next one or (b) the next free one

  • READ: Budweiser, Bud Light and other main stream American sh1te, plus in my case, Gambrinus or Lasko, which both really affect me and to my mind taste horrible!

i generally find German brews very appealing, but SEAn brews are quite nice as well - personally i enjoyed beer lao and san miguel quite a lot while i was in the respective countries....

Its got be bintang but that could be to do with chain smoking loads of cheap fags a day so any liquid was heaven, though in a month there was not one day i could not face sinking an few no matter how big a hangover i had.

Best beer has to be Angkor Beer or Lao Beer. You can buy the big bottles of Singha in sainsburys for about two quid though, which is also a fine fine beer

Vailima beer in Samoa is my favourite. Absolutely lush.

And ironically the worst beer was the beer in neighbouring Tonga (can't remember the name - best forgotten).

I'm also a fan of Chang in Thailand which isn't a popular choice as most people seemed to prefer Singha, but Chang would get the number two position in my chart.

Hmm I think there are quite a few really good beers around, beer Lao, Chang beer, Corona are all great and I don't know if it belongs amongst the beers, but Magnus cider is heaven as well! I guess though that almost all beers taste amazing when they are really cold and you're soaking up the heat in some far away place!
