Hey,
Am off to Dublin for 4 days, 3 nites, alone. Where is the cheapest place to stay that is easy walking distance from the heart of town? I dont care if it is crusty and roach infested. Just need a place to lie down in a drunken pile.
Thanks heaps.

Try
http://www.jacobsinn.com/?gclid=CMb-4NK8xIkCFRVYZwodnEVCjg
or
http://www.hosteldublin.com/hosteldetails.php/HostelNumber.2976
alternatively try www.hosteldublin.com
Both of these options are a stones throw from O'Connell & Grafton Street

Hello Oz2Asia

I usually stay at Ashfield House, on D'Olier St.
U can have a bed, in the mixed dorm, for 13.50 euros per night.
It is right in the middle of Dublin.
And if u haul yourself out of bed, before 10AM, u will get corn flakes, bread, fruit juice and as much tea and coffee as u can drink, included in the price.
And u can book it on the internet.

Mel

Hi Oz2Asia,

Any hostel on the north side (of the Liffey) will suit you. Don't go to a hostel in Temple Bar as you are bound to pay a lot more!

Lower Gardiner st is great for run down, skanky hostels but they are very cheap! go for the bed in a 10 bed room option for the best deal.

if you look up goldenpages.ie for hostels in Gardiner st, Dublin 1 you should find a few.

Have fun!!

Oz2Asia,

You can also check out Avalon House at http://www.avalon-house.ie/, their rates are low, reviews are good, and they are right in the heart of Dublin city.

Anybody familiar with Abraham House? I am looking to hear what it's actually like as opposed to what they say it's like.
