Hi Guys,

Does anyone know about getting tourist cards for Cuba? Can you get them at the airport on arrival or do they need to be bought before i leave the UK?

There are some nationalities that enjoy such privilege BUT there are others that have to buy the card before landing in Cuba. Unfortunately I do not have the list to help you with concrete info.

In general the majority of the Airlines will not allow travelers to board their planes without the tourist card.

I suggest you get your cards before landing just to be on the safe side.

Enjoy your trip!

Hi!
UK citizens need a visa. The tourist card is like a "concession" that you can get, but only if you are staying in hotels (the name of the hotel has to be written in the card) or going on organized tours. What you can do once in Cuba is to extend or modify your permission, not apply for it. Usually tour operators take care of that.
Anyway, it's always better to contact the Consulate. Don't leave untill you have this matter figured out.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all your help. I got the visa from the UK to be on the safe side, however it seems as though we could have also bought it at the airport ono arrival too. Cuba was amazing. One of the most fascinating countries that I have ever been too and i can't wait until i get another chance to go! Bring on the latin rhythm!
