I'm intending on spending about a week in China at the end of April - on my way back to Oz from London for good!
I will be flying into and out of Hong Kong. Any suggestions on where to go and what to do? I know there is heaps but I'd love to hear your experiences of China.
It's up to you where you most like to go in China since a week is to short for a china tour. One choice is to Guangdong province which is neibouring with Hongkong. The city, Guangzhou is a nice place and you can find the typical Cantonese lifestyle there. The food is very delicious.
I think if you have a week, just stay in Hongkong and maybe an overnight stay in Macau, just a short ferry trip away. I guess you can easily spend several days in Hongkong, there is much to do and see in the city but also has some nature trails.
That way you don't need visa. For China of course you need a 75 dollar visa.
