All values are in euros. Also for korea i will be staying with my friend so accomodation costs are factored out. I'm not gonna be working so my budgets are per day to include everything from hostels/food/bus/activities. If you think i should reduce/increase daily costs for any country please let me know your thoughts

Budget:
• Japan: 13 days @ €75= 975
• Korea: 26 days @ €45= 1150
• New Zealand: 66 days @ €55 = 3630
• Australia: 61 days @ €55= 3355
• Thailand: 20 days @ €40= 800
o Total(provisionally) €9910

Not to sure about Japan or Korea but you are over budgeting on Thailand. I was there and lived easily off of $20USD a day total. Activities, hostel, food, and trasporation. So if you want to play it safe 20-30 Euros is plenty of money for thailand. As far as Australia I was budgeting about $50USD a day and that was fine. Depends though on how long you are staying in major cities. I would greatly recommend going to Frasier Island near Brisbane if it is not on you list. Rent a 4x4 and spend a minumum of 3 days. I would say that you would not need that much money per day in NZ. Euros are worth more there and there are not to many cities there to eat up your money. Go to Milford sound for sure and black water rafting in Waitomo Caves on the North Island. Be careful about spending too much in Queenstown. Otherwise if you bring your estimated amount you have more than enough money. Enjoy. Brent

Cheers Boreal, that advice is very informative. I'd say i'm probably bringing more than i need which isn't a bad thing. I plan on being in new zealand for 2 months of their ski season which might run up the costs a bit but overall i hope i'll be ok.

I'm not sure what will you do in Korea, a/way i'll give you

general information about Korea(this information is based on
very budget travel)

Subway & Bus : U$ 1/ticket

Taxi : start from usd 2 and pumping up by 10 cents

Food : cheap one start from usd 4/person but for locals
(it means they do not speak any foreign language)
touristy area or downtowns are start from usd 6 to 8
(very basic meal but enough to feed yourself)

train : if you go Busan(south eastern city of Korea) by
KTX, it will cost around usd 60/person(it's depends on
the day you leave)

bar : beer start from usd 6/bottle, nigth clubs are pretty
expensive(it's incredible, but your friends will take you
Itaewon or Hongdae which are cheap and friendly to foreigners.)

enterance fee for any palace or museum is around 3~5 usd/person

Korea is cheaper than Japan(but gap is not so big), much more expensive than Thailand.

I think if you stay at your friend's home, 45euro/day will be
OK.
