I am a student and come from Czech republic! I´m going to visit Barcelona in March and that is why I have a request... I am looking for a cheap and good situated(that is meant nearby metro and not so far away from centre) youth hostel or dorm... I have never been to Barcelona before and I don´t have any experiences with spending time in Spain...do spanish people talk in English? or just spanish? Is hard to communicate with them?
I would appreciate your help a lot! So if you can help me...let me know...
Thanks a lot!
Have a nice day!
Idk about the hostels in Barcelona but i do know that a few of them speak english but i wouldnt expect any random person around barca to know any english. In Barcelona they speak mainly 2 languages which are spanish and catalan. Catalan is native to that North eastern part of spain called catalunya and could be described as a mix between spanish french and a little italian. Most everyone one understands spanish there so spanish should do u just fine. Catalan was very difficult for me to understand so i mostly just spoke spanish.
have fun in barca.... its a great time!
