where are they taking u,how are u suppose to interpret them. For me they lead to interesting conversation.Bizzare too say the least, last night in my dream i got shot in the stomach by gang members.
well cant wait too here what u have too say..
I don't know if there's any one anwer to your question. Different religions/cultures interpret them in all manner of ways. Personally I think they are a natural way of dispelling all my anxieties! I dream really vividly and remember virtually every single one - and always in colour! I could tell you what I dreamt about 10 years ago if I had to! Sometimes the meaning is obvious isn't it, you can directly relate what was happening in your dream to what happened to you during the day. Other times you wake up and think 'Jesus! where did that one come from!' I have a really interesting book called the Dreamers Dictionary and have to admit that when I do need to interpret a colour, obstacle, object or whatever, the interpretation given there is usually stunningly accurate, as long as you take it in conjunction with the other factors in the dream and don't isolate it.
Anyway, it's one thing we all have in common, whether we remember them or not and that's a comforting thought!
As shopgirl said, dreams represent things that are going on in your life. I don't know about the rest of you, but my dreams have NEVER been normal in any way. There's always some wackiness involved. Dream dictionaries usually give a global interpretation of the individual entities of your dream, stuff like snakes represent sexuality, etc. I also recently heard someone say that dreams will show things in a metaphorical sense. The example she gave was that she had recently seen a friend with a shopping bag in his hand, and in real life, the friend was "shopping around" for a girlfriend. So she suggested to record your dreams as best as you can remember them, and then see what sort of pattern your brain works in. Usually, when I'm anxious, I dream of being chased by a murderer. I actually dreamt once that this one man entered our house and I had to fight him because he wanted to stab us all. I was totally stressed then, and felt that I couldn't get through my ordeals, but this dream sort of foreshadowed the fact that, no matter how I felt then, I was gonna get through it, and I did!
On a side note, what's the weirdest dream you've ever had? I've got plenty of those to share!
Lordy! I really couldn't tell you the weirdest one! How on earth would I choose? They are all like that!
I suppose tho' if I thought about it, the weirdest dreams for me are the ones where I have dreamt of a particular thing and within days of that dream, it happened. This has happened on quite a few occasions now and altho I don't in any way think that I'm pyschic, it has been most odd. The most peculiar one on that level was this: I paint (as a sort of hobby) and was lucky enough to have 3 of my paintings chosen by a publishing co for greetings cards for which I receive royalties. I had only just signed up the deal and had to wait 6 months for my first royalty cheque to come thru. About a week before I dreamt I received a cheque for a certain amount. I had no way of knowing how many cards had been sold at that point because they include that info when they send the cheque. Imagine my total amazement when, upon opening the envelope, there was a cheque there for exactly the amount I dreamt down to the last penny. I have to admit, I spent the rest of the day somewhat peturbed at this turn of events. Since then I've had a few more 'dreams' about things and am getting sort of used to things now when they happen. Still trying to dream the lottery numbers!!
FUNNY U SAY THAT SHOPGIRL,MY GRANDMA PASTED ON ABOUT 5 YRS AGO,WITHIN THE LAST 6 MTHS MY MOM HAD A VIVID DREAM ABOUT #s,she told me that her mom,my gram had given her birthdays & ages..well she played the #s she just missed but u never know believe because there is always a chance 1$ and a dream..

Hey Roy - good morning 2 u! Actually it's 3.15pm here in London town and the weather is a bit humid.
Have to say that flying in dreams is just the best isn't it?? I'm almost convinced that when I wake up I could actually do it. You're obviously a bit of an 'extreme sportist' - hobbies and dreams are very active aren't they..........and not just a little bit dangerous!!!!
And what about sleep walking? Has anyone other than myself, found themselves on the pavement at 3am with nothing on except a look of utter confusion and shock ???
It also happens to me regulary, that I have this "déja vu" feeling. It's very weird to have a dream, and then some time later this thing you dreamed happens in real life. That makes me think that our future is fixed.
I've actually sleep walked once in my life but I have no recollection of it. My dad found me trying to leave the house by the back door and redirected me toward my room.
One of my weirdest dreams to date wasn't odd per say (it was one of those "getting chased" dreams I mentionned that I've been having of late), but it definitely ended weird. The ending was a narration of the future: sort of like at the end of a movie, when they say what happens to each character. So my dream narrator said: "The third man lead a happy life with his wife and children. The man who always turned left continued to turn left. And the man who always turned right continued to turn right." This was actually in my dream, no joke, because I wrote my dream down as soon as I woke up. It was so odd that I couldn't figure out what it meant at all!
I've had some "premonition" dreams as well. I dreamt once of passing by a specific hotel on the way to New Brunswick (which I had never been to at the moment of my dream), and I actually happened to see the hotel from my dream years later, on my trip to New Brunswick! Weirdness!
P.S. Congrats on the cards!
Walking in my sleep, yes i fall victim as well shopgirl,i do not remember but i walked downstairs in the middle of the night tried to leave the house but some1 stopped me before i could get loose,I guess i got lucky .
coolin out 65 sunny,no humidity ooooooooohh what a day...hope every1 enjoys..

have to say i agree the flying or falling dreams are cool, i always feel energised and free when i wake up after one of them, most of the time i don't remember my dreams, i was told once by my sister that i spoke in my sleep, i would have dismissed it but she was able to tell me things that i hadn't told anyone, that creeped me out, i could have said anything.......... it hasn't happened since (luckily enough !) .......i've never sleep walked in my sleep but i know i kick and punch out a lot if i'm dreaming about competitions or fights, its a bit mad.........the worst though was seeing the death of someone close to me who was very healthy and then having to sit through the day again a few days later for real this time.........it totally freaked me out............. it does make you wonder if our destinys are predetermined ......
