Ok.. I had a small mishap falling off Mount Kinabalu in Malaysia and have lost 10 days off my trip to india. That means I have just three weeks to see as much of India as I can.
Now the problem is that I tore some ligaments in my ankle and I can't really walk about for more than maybe 2-3 hours at a time before it becomes too painful.
My orginal plan had been to spend two weeks for Dehli, Agra, Jaipur and then to head down south for a bit but with just three weeks and limited mobility I have to rethink my plans.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
as ever, what do you want to see?
North India is good for forts and a lot of mogul architecture style palaces. And ofcourse, if you want to venture into the himalayas ( which i am not sure is such a good idea considering your leg). You can do a camel safari into teh desert in rajasthan and camp out which is fun.
South is reknown for its temples, and ofcourse the sea. you can also find a number of places of architectural importance over here to like hampi, bijapur, bellari , golconda , mahabalipuram - but they are set wide and apart.
you might be able to do a bit of south and north, if you chose to fly mid-way. 10 days is really good if u want to do the rajasthan belt of jaipur, jaisalmer etc.... and if u use a hired cab, u can control ur walking too... and then u can fly into the south - and spend a few days before u head back!
So sorry to hear about the mishap.
With your limited mobilty, i suggest not to visit north places like Rajasthan where you might have to climb Fort(s).Ofcourse you can visit Delhi, Agra (not sure if you can visit Agra Fort)and Jaipur.
Suggest that you can visit Kerala or south india in general.
Enjoy your stay in India.
