Kenya in Early April?

Travel Forums Africa and The Middle East Kenya in Early April?

Hi there folks,
I'm looking for any practical advice about visiting Kenya in April. I will arrive in Nairobi for a couple of days business but then I have two weeks free to travel with some colleagues. None of us are hardened adventurers but are all well travelled.
I just need some advice on what to look out for; what to see; where to go; and any other general advice that's out there.

Thanks
ZakSame

If you have two weeks, that's a perfect amount of time of doing some safari stuff.
Masai Mara is world famous and of course Amboseli National Park is very nice. It's much smaller but the views of Mt. Kilimanjaro with elephants, zebra or other animals in front is beautiful.
Als Tsavo NP is nice, but has less game to spot, but the landscape is much nicer.
Then there's Nakuru and Naivasha NP, with lots of flamingos. And less famous parks like samburu, shaba and buffalo springs. Less known and less touristy but still nice and with several animal species which aren't to be found elsewhere.
April is rainy season though in some parts of Kenya.

Have fun, Michael

Possibly do the Maasai Mara or Tzavo and the rift valley lakes....then proceed to the coast sandy beaches and maybe try snorkelling at the marine parks...mostly the Kisite Mpunguti Park in Wasini Islands....

There are so many good things that makes Kenya an interesting place to be. The wildlife, sceneries and their beaches are wonderful. There is always a variety to choose from.

Have travelled to various National parks and Samburu game reserve seems more interesting. If you want, You can contact the The Eriksen Adventure, a Tour company that I always use for my travel whenever I am in Kenya to give you more information.
