Hi,

I fly out to Sydney on February 1st and applied for my Visa last week on the DIMA website, I paid the fee and it said that my application had been approved but when I click on the link to print out my confirmation letter it says that the service is temporarily unavailable & asks me to try later, I have been doin this for about a week now, with no success.

Do I need this letter to obtain my visa once I arrive in Sydney and if so does anyone know any other way to get it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am now starting to worry that I may not get it in time.

Thanks,

Alan

Its a few years (5!) since I got my WHV but I'm pretty sure I posted my passport off and they put a shiny visa page into it. When I handed it over at customs they stamped the opposite page and wrote my entry date on it. It's probably all electronic now though so that might not be much help....do you have a receipt for paying for the visa?

Hi, the same kind of thing happened to me so i called them to see they could email me the confirmation letter.
If you call them they will try to help you sort it out.
Don't panic it'll be okay!

Have a great trip, hope you get it sorted soon, sure you will.

Hi,

yeh I have a receipt for the visa, I also have everything printed that I filled out on line, even the page that says that my application has been approved, but just not the approval letter.

So im thinkin that if I dont get the letter I will just take all of that stuff with me and hopefully it will be ok.

The visa is electronic and based on your passport number so you'll be fine. ;)

Hi i done it all online too and got the same error message and to try again later. I got myself in a panic but i then emailed them with my refernce number and details and they sent an email back with the confirmation info on it and all the details of visa which i then printed out. It is all electronic through the passport number you gave so everything will be fine. Good luck! Gillian x
