Watching darts on TV? OK, so its very skilled but I can't see the appeal in watching it myself. Likewise golf on TV. Yawn. I only watch darts to laugh at the players.

Although I did see "ladies" darts the other day. My goodness, they were shockers. Rough is not the word. Do you really need to be that butch to throw pins?

Throw pins???

Its not as sofisticated as for instance tennis. This is my number one sport to watch (number two; soccer). Since there is no tennis and soccer at the moment, darts is a good alternative. I just sit deep in my couch with a glass of beer, after a hard day of work or study. Just to watch something for what you don't need to use your tired brains. Most women probably go watch a soap to relax in front of television;).

And then end up having the television watching them instead. I've seen and heard of many, and my mum is one of them!

Hey Wouter, you're pretty active in the forum lately. Rushing to join the 1,000-post club? You're only 200 posts away! Too bad you could not be promoted any higher as you're already a Travel Guru. ;)

Hey Hien , thanks friend. Actually I think that there should be something higher. I was thinking about "travelgod". That means that you get this title when you passed 1.000 posts. Off course depening on your travel experience. So then we can say "welcome to the travelgods club". Cool

Only 198 to go....

By the way I am lately indeed pretty active on the forums, Hien. I appreciate to talk about travel with like-minded people. My friends don't understand my travel-disease, so this website is allright (good for my English too);). Cheers,

Only 197 posts to go...

Niels de Ruiter out of the competition because of that old guy, Nixon (niks aan for dutch people).
Wouter, it's also a good month for you considering sports..Australian Open coming up...wonder if Federer will come closer to Sampras' record of Grand Slam titles.

Over 640 posts to go..;)

Australian open. Looking forward to that. I think there is a big chance that Federer will break the record(s) of Pete Sampras. When Sampras retired I thought that there would never be a better player. But at Wimbledon in 2001 he gave the crown to Federer. Federer is unbelievable good, he is a wizard it seems. He leaves the compitition far behind. Does this say something about todays players? I feel that Sampras had better players to compete with (e.g. Stich, Becker, Kafelnikov, Chang, Ivanisevic, Muster, Agassi, Krajicek, Rios, Rusedski, Henman).

Ow darts....unbelievable. Martin beat Nixon (Niks aan). But how. Nixon had a 6-0 lead (7 sets win gives the champonship). Martin got back and wins 6-7....

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation had a show the other day on the popularity of darts these days. Can't say I'm into it though.

Darts no, Snooker....now there's a game !!

Pdc has two good players, the rest is worse than the BDO. BDO has better players on average. Well, with Michael van Gerwen PDC has 3 good players now. The rest is crap, it's just for the money they join the PDC and i can't blame them for that of course...it's their job. But it would be pretty frustrated for them to have the top 3 in the world have them beaten for the next 100 years
