Hi,

I'm thinking about going to Greece from late april to late july to live and work. But I have no idea where/how to live!
I'm going there with a friend and we'll probably go to Crete or Rhodes, but how do we get an apartment?
Should we look for a small apartment for ourselfs, or is it necessary to share with others?
Should we consider staying at a bed&breakfast/hostel instead?

Thanks for any answers!

Kind regards,
Sandra.

Hi there ..
Living in Greece is not hard at all ! You will be easily adjusted and feel confortable and free. Since you are going to spent your time in the islands, then you have more reasons to feel more free!
For me, it would be better to find a bed and breakfast and bargain for a good price since your staying is not that long in order to rent an appartment. On the other hand, renting an appartment in Greece is a bit expensive.

Good luck ..
For more info .. do nor hesitate !

Cheers
Amalia

Hi there...

The islands of Crete and Rhodes some of the more touristic islands in Greece will be easy to get jobs. Some hotels or bars or restaurants hire foreigners for the summer... so i would try them first, some hotels or small complexes might also offer you accomodation as well or help you sort that out. My advise would be to go early in April as from May these islands receive their first tourists.

The only issue you might face is your time period. Usually people want to hire people for the summer season, meaning May to September with July and August being the busiest months...

Thanks for your answers...
I've looked into Crete and Rhodes, and Rhodes seems to have better beaches and might not be quite as 'touristy' as Crete? (Or have I misinterpreted the information)
Do you have any idea of how money we should take with us...? (Assuming that we get a job pretty fast?)

Kind regards,
Sandra.
