Quoting Sander

For those (like me) who have no idea what all this is about, wikipedia has an awesome picture explaining all.
I'm quite speechless, and hereby vow to do everything in my power never to end up on that roundabout. :)

I agree; must avoid that sucker at all costs! Can just imagine having gotten used to driving on the left in the UK and then encountering that. That's got to leave you rather puzzled

I do apologise for the thread hijack! But the Swindon one is worse :)

It's the inner circle that I'd be most concerned about as it's so counter intuitive on the face of it. The rest looks easy, schematically speaking

Swindon is better. Its bigger and there are centeral reservations that (Try) to keep traffic moving in the correct lanes.

And yes, I would imagine coming from another country, drving on a differnt side of the road with a different driving persission and then stumbling across either on of em rounderbouts would be..... extreamly interesting and potentially totally hilarious. What I wouldnt give to be a fly on the wall what that happens!

Ahila: Thanks! I got a bit carried away, but they'r not bad considering I took them with my phone. My fav is the one going into the tunnel! I love motion blur.

That tunnel picture is fantastic - I am a real sucker for long exposure shots and motion blur. You did well to get that effect, what was the exposure about 1/5th?

hell, I dont know.
All I did was see a tunnel, think 'how cool would it be to see train go into tunnel', stick my head out the window, pull it straight back in again as rocky outcroppings got FAR too close for my likining, and with seconds to spare, shoved my Nokia 7370 out the window, pointed it in the right direction and hoped for the best.

Turned out far better than I expected. My Nokia only has basic settings like picture size and quality. (Its only a 1.3megapixel) And most of the time, I hae to settings turned down low (I can fit more pics onto the memory that way) but I had been playing about with the settings.

Hey Dani, Have you removed a lot of pictures off your photo gallery or did I dream that I saw a lot of photos under your boating category?

Yes, the tunnel one is really good but I also liked the canal one.

But, the new photos of your sailing trip is great!

18. Posted by PirateDani (Budding Member 153 posts) 10y

ummm, no, I havent removed any photos. Mind you, I am trying to catergorise them a little more effectivly. Especially since 4 out of my 5 trips have prominantly featured boats.

Im off sailing the Prince William again in 3 weeks with my sister. Should have more pics. May try and make a video if something interesting enough comes up. Glad you like them

Yup - late to the greeting party, but I'm here now... Yeah, I agree, big deal.
