Wouter, if your request to have the box back fails, I think we can try to push for a little more padding on the top and bottom for the blockquote so that quotes, especially nested ones, will not look too cramped. :)

Thanks Isa, that's exactly what I meant. That's the advantage being a native speaker;)

Sometimes not making sense works too as they are easily confused them and they just agree.

Oh look! A kangaroo!!! Isa runs away quickly...

Okay, I'll throw my two cents into the ring...

I've become accustomed to the "new" quoted look, but personally prefer the old one. It was easier to recognize the quoted text at a glance if more than one comment was quoted. (Especially if someone has quoted another, made a reply immediately after, then goes on to quote more and reply. Basically, quote - reply - quote - reply. Hope that made sense...)

I'm also just replying from a janitor's point of view since I skim through a large quantity of threads seeking out madness and mayhem.

Thanks Isa, that's exactly what I meant. That's the advantage being a native speaker;)

That's called nested quotes. :)

Yup - but that's not what I meant. See, I wasn't clear enough either.

I don't really speak Aussie all that well obviously...

I personally prefer it how it is now

If the big boss prefers the line, then I probably can shake it:(

So you're not going to fight for it, eh?
You know, he's not really that big.

Come on Wouter! I'll back ya up!!!

Yeah, me too! ;)

Anyone using Firefox, Opera, SeaMonkey and I think also Safari can of course always apply a user stylesheet to re-style the site to look however they want.

In Firefox/SeaMonkey (since that's the browser I'm familiar with), you'd do this by creating a textfile (or opening it if it already exists) called userContent.css, within the chrome/ directory of your profile folder.

In there, paste the following line:
@-moz-document url-prefix("http://www.travellerspoint.com/forum") { blockquote { border: 1px solid #ccc !important; background-color: #eee !important; } }
save, restart the browser, and quotes should look 'boxed' again.

(For the record, I personally prefer the current look.)

Obviously. You probably are one of the brains behind the "line"

Heh, no, I have the aesthetic sense of a demented monkey with access to fifteen thousand clashing colors of fingerpaint - and hence they're keeping me far away from having anything to do with the design of the site.

One more reason why I like you, Sander!!!!! (Down with beige, ecru, eggshell and cream!!!!) ;)

Actually I don't want the text boxes com back. I like it better the way it is now. I just saw the light. Vague....
