Great Thread - My Dad's answer - THE TELEVISION!

Years ago (maybe 20) we were driving down the Motorway, about 30 miles from home towards LGW. My father mentioned to my mother very casually, "I wished I brought the Television" My mother looked at him with strange look on her face "Why on earth would we want to take the Television to Greece with us" My father replied "because the passports are on top of it"... Bless him mush easier than saying he had forgot the passports!

We sped home, picked up the passports, arrived late at the airport, but managed to get the flight!

Thanx for bringing this great memory back of my dear old Dad, I shall remind him of this story when I see him next time I am in the UK...

Yes - agree on the towel! Although rather than just any normal towel, a quick dry towel is best. Not sure what they're actually called but they're also referred to as sports towels sometimes. They're usually a lot smaller than your average bath towel and are made of special fabric that absorbs a large amount of water very quickly, but doesn't appear soaking wet afterwards and dries speedily so you can shove it back in your pack soon after and it will hardly take up any space.
I used to have one and lost it. But I've heard they are quite expensive to buy so not sure if I can afford to replace it right now!
Get them from a travel store like Kathmandu.
