Hi Nikki,

Here's to hoping the Dutch win!! :)

I actually watched the game against Germany in a pub with Germans all around me. I can tell you that there were several angry looks when Ruud v N scored that late goal... phew!

All the best to England tonight by the way; that was a horrible ending on Sunday!

On this note by the way.... If the dutch are second in their group, they play the quarter finals on my wedding night

Fingers crossed it doesn't come down to that!

Go Greece Go!

Yup, afraid i'm a bit of a sports freak and not missed a minute yet, and the local bar will probably have taken a scary amount of Krona off me by the end....

With no Wales, i don''t have any patriotic support, but have money on the Czech's, but living in Sweden i'm supporting them as well. Love seeing the underdog do well (and deserving it, as opposed to dodgy refereeing etc), and agree Greece have been good so far. Hope they go through. Hasn't exactly been a classic tournament so far, but opening games often aren't. Too many of the top players have been annonymous (or in cases, just crap), and the standard of football has been OK without being great. But it should get better, and in fairness, i'll watch all the games anyway.

I'm also a sports fan :) I'm watching most of the games after work! Yesterday evening was a good match, France against Croatia :)
Anyway it's a pitty that Belgium is not participating, that makes it a bit less interesting for me. But still I try to follow most of the matches.

Its been great watching the games, i work in a large multi national company so the pub after work is full of rival team supporters, sometimes the crowd is more entertaining then the game itself, for the Holland V Germany match we were sitting just behind a group of very serious german supporters, everytime Germany even looked at the ball one of the guys was screaming and bowing in awe, it was really funny........... another guy I know jumped on his coffee table when Rooney scored the first goal yesterday, needless to say he's trying to fix it today............

looking forward to the italian game tonight as well though, normally I support Lazio so I hope the Italians do well though Holland has to win !!!!

Actually on that point does anyone know if its possible to buy old Dutch jerseys ??? my boyf' was looking for an old fashioned one with Cruyff on the back,

Thanks, Nikki

Nikki - yes, there is a great mail order company in the UK i've used a few times who specialise in classic jersey's, and the 1970's Dutch one is a big seller. Just can't remember what the hell they are called!

Have got the details at home somewhere and will try and dig them out. If they haven't appeared in the next 2 or 3 days, remind me!!
