Walking Question about Glasgow!

Travel Forums Europe Walking Question about Glasgow!

Could someone give me an idea of how long it would take to walk from the Buchanan Street Bus station to the Glasgow Jamaica Bridge?
Would it be more wise to take the tube to St. Enoch Square?

The thing is, we may be arriving in Glasgow at 5:40PM, and we will be going to see Ben Folds that night at the Carling Academy, and the show starts at 7:00, and we will need to check in at the Euro-Hostel before we go to the show!
So time is pretty tight. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

hi - it will only take 10 mins to walk that route. Very easy to find as central Glasgow is a grid system. If you need to just ask someone, Glaswegians are very friendly. This me be too late as your post did not say when you will be here. Have fun.

Thank you! Not too late just yet!
We leave Canada tomorrow night, and begin our great adventure!

Hi- also meant to mention that from the hostel you can walk straight to the Carling Academy across the Jamaica Street bridge - its a straight road from there. If the weather is lousy you may want a cab though (about another 10minute walk) ;).
