Well here are some hugs for that gelli! Romances are so fleeting I find sometimes... or all the time in my case! Oh well! Life does go on!

Gelli: That is a super cute story, and I'm sorry it didn't work out! :( I send you hugs!

lol, can I get in on that movie? I can see it now! It'll be big, I tells ya, BIG!

Cheers,
Katie ;)

Aw, cheers guys It makes me fell all warm inside!! Whilst obviously still hard, it's over 4 years since she died so i'm not still in the desperate for hugs stage.

Katie, sure. especially if you think it could be BIG. It was your idea after all, so i'm sure i can manage to donate a share of any profits to your travel fund ;)

I´m a broke traveler right now so I need some cuts too... I think we´ll be able to work the Spanish waiter in as well heck maybe even the wierdo that wanted to marry me...

btw where can I find this Roberto???;)

Can we add a character called Juan the Cabana boy? I always liked that name and title together for some reason.... And I think the movie idea was Leah's (not mine, so I must pass on that wonderful credit! :)) but I can add my twist and say we could make a documentary on travel romances (aside from the first movie). Perhaps maybe even make it a mocumentary about all the weird people we meet on the road. Lol, I'd pay to see that!

Cheers,
Katie ;)

I always love it when it's happening to me...

I "found" an old friend through email, then we started emailing each other and there was this spark between us. Our emails became more intense and sometimes we talked through long-distance calls. We got a crush on each other. Then I went travelling and met with him and it was really fun. But that was all.

Another experience that I think more special: Someone met me when he was travelling here. Something happened between us. The spark - it was beautiful. We kept in touch after he went back home to the other side of the planet. Our relationship was sweet and fun. We were so crazy about each other. It lasted for a few months but we never said goodbye actually...

(with apol to OP, and also Sam/Peter for hijacking the photography board)

Interesting...

So we've now got Travellerspoint productions making a full legnth movie, greetings cards and hidden camera show on Spanish waiters called Juan the Cabana Boy. From that, we must be able to come up with enough rubbish to also do a couple of TV progs, a calender etc...

I've actually been thinking about a sort of stupid mocumentary for a long time now (wierd people, places and coincidences, from a strange angle), so perhaps we should look at doing one to pay for all our respective travels (((now wondering if we can combine this plan with earlier ideas on the ancient duct tape thread))).
Anybody actually be up for it (semi seriously)?

btw, unlikley, but too many coincidences here - Rach, Roberto didn't live in Sabadell (Barca) was just working for the summer before going to Argentina. Was he??????

you know, this is the type of show that SKY or C4 in the Uk would go mad for, you could make a ten part documentary and revisit it every year for follow ups............ it would be worth a bomb !!!

Anything with "umentary" in it (both Mocs and Docs) interests me so, heck, why not pitch it somewhere?! lol :) On a semi-serious note: I've done a couple amateur docs and I love the genre, and I always thought a mocumentary would be fun to do as well! Now back to our wonderful marketing plan: let's not forget the scented candle line that we could produce along with our docs and/or mocs. A few scents could be "2-months-travelling-around-with-the-same-old-backback musk," "smoke-filled airport," and the ever-so classic "european-train-in-45-degree-weather-during-high-season."

And now what's this about duct tape.....?

Cheers,
Katie ;)
